Purity, measured

99.999% pure. Here's what that means.

Every creatine is made the same basic way, and the process leaves by-products behind. The difference between a clean creatine and a cheap one is how much of that comes along in your scoop. We had our batch tested by an independent lab.*

99.999%creatine monohydrate. Under 10 mg of by-products per kilogram.
0dicyandiamide detected
0dihydrotriazine detected
7.8mg/kg creatinine, against a 100 mg/kg industry limit
Typical creatine~208 mg/kg
Limit, creatinine alone100 mg/kg
Bare Pure Creatine7.8 mg/kg

Total of the three by-products (dicyandiamide, dihydrotriazine, creatinine). Typical creatine: manufacturer market comparison. Bare: independent lab analysis (Mérieux NutriSciences) of our batch. Limits: standard creatine monohydrate purity specifications.

What else comes along

Three by-products you don't want in your creatine

Most creatine is made by reacting sarcosine with cyanamide. Done carelessly, it leaves these behind.

Ours: not detected

Dicyandiamide (DCD)

A leftover from the cyanamide used to make creatine. It does nothing for you, and purity specifications cap it at 50 mg per kg. In our batch it wasn't detectable.

Ours: not detected

Dihydrotriazine (DHT)

A by-product whose safety in people hasn't been established, so purity specifications require it to be undetectable. The cheaper the process, the more likely it turns up. Ours: none found.

Ours: 7.8 mg/kg

Creatinine

What creatine breaks down into. It has no performance benefit, so every gram of creatinine is a gram of creatine you paid for and didn't get. The limit is 100 mg per kg. Ours is under a tenth of that.

No gimmicks

Why 5 g of micronised monohydrate powder

Creatine monohydrate is the form used in the overwhelming majority of creatine research. The format matters too, because creatine is stable as a dry powder but breaks down into creatinine in moist, acidic and warm conditions (Jäger et al., Amino Acids 2011).

FormatWhat the evidence says
Micronised monohydrate powder, 5 g sachetThe form and dose the research uses (Kreider et al., JISSN 2017). Micronised means finer particles that mix more easily into water, coffee or a shake. Dry powder stays stable. One sachet is exactly 5 g, every time.
GummiesMoist, acidic and often heated during production, the conditions in which creatine turns into creatinine. In 2024 testing of 12 gummy brands, 5 fell short of their label claim and showed signs of creatine breakdown (NOW Foods, 2024).
Creatine ethyl ester and other "new" formsMarketed as better absorbed. Creatine ethyl ester actually converted to creatinine faster and did not outperform monohydrate in a controlled trial (Spillane et al., JISSN 2009).
CapsulesThe same creatine, but you'd need six or seven capsules to reach 5 g.
Flavoured blendsAdded sweeteners, flavours and fillers that do nothing for the creatine. Ours is one ingredient, unflavoured.

Why creatine

The most-studied strength supplement there is

Strength

Creatine increases performance in short, high-intensity exercise, like lifting and sprints (EFSA, 2011).

Not just gym bros

Studies in women and older adults show benefits when it's paired with resistance training (Kreider et al., JISSN 2017).

3–5 g a day

A daily 3–5 g fills muscle stores over about 3–4 weeks, so no loading phase is needed (Kreider et al., JISSN 2017).

One ingredient

Just creatine monohydrate. No flavours, sweeteners or fillers.
